He has conducted several Italian jazz orchestras in concert, including: Orchestra Jazz della Sardegna(Sassari), New Project Jazz Orchestra (Trento), M.J.Urkestra (Rome), Sidma Jazz Orchestra (Chieti), Jazzlife Jazz Orchestra (Ferrara), SJU Orchestra (Siena). He has collaborated with varoius musicians including: Kenny Wheeler, Gunther Schuller, Maria Schneider, David Liebman, Hiromi Uehara, Bruno Tommaso, Paolo Fresu, Gianluigi Trovesi, James Newton, Elio, Javier Girotto, Fabrizio Bosso, Eliot Zigmund, Ronnie Cuber, Giovanni Falzone. He has conductedthe orchestras of the Conservatories of Trento, Naples, Vicenza, Frosinone, Ferrara, Adria and Benevento. He has carried out serveral important projects commissioned by jazz festivals including: “Pierino e il Lupo” (revisitation in jazz of S. Prokofiev’s famous work for recitingvoice, soloists and jazz orchestra), Tribute to Gerry Mulligan, Pictures in Jazz (inspired by “Quadri di un’Esposizione” by M. Mussorgskj), Mingus Cuernavaca. He has released several CDs as a lead, conductor and guitarist with record labels: Splasc (h) Records, Via Veneto Jazz, Onyx Jazz Club, Wide Sound, ABeat Records, Jazzit Records, Alfamusic. He has won awards at the main composition and arrangement competitions for Jazz Orchestra in Italy (Barga Jazz, Writing in Jazz – Sassari, Rumori Mediterranei – Roccella Jonica). He has participated with his own projects in numerous jazz festivals including: Roccella Jonica, Gezziamoci (Matera), Terni Jazz Fest, Jazz Image – Villa Celimontana (Rome), Orsara Jazz, Metastasio Jazz (Prato), Archeojazz (Rome), New Conversation ( Vicenza), TrentinoinJazz, Siena Jazz, The Aperitif Concerts of the Jazz Orchestra of Sardinia (Sassari). Since November 2016 he has been Professor of Jazz Composition at the Nicola Sala Conservatory in Benevento. He is a lecturer in Jazz Composition and Ensemble Music at “Siena Jazz University” for academic diploma courses; in the same institution he has directed the “Siena Jazz University Orchestra” since 2012. He has taught in the Jazz Departments of the Conservatories of Trento, Adria, Frosinone, Ferrara, Benevento, Cosenza, Perugia, Bologna, Naples. He has published over forty essays on jazz masterpieces in the “Jazz Anatomy” column of the prestigious Jazzit magazine (Luciano Vanni Editore). He has translated some of the most important international teaching texts of jazz composition and arrangement (Berklee Press, Advance Music) for the publisher Volontè & Co. The same publisher has published his treatise ” Jazz Harmony: Le Basi della Teoria e dell’Armonia” . His most recent recording is the CD “Travel Music” by Roberto Spadoni & New Project Jazz Orchestra, released in October 2016 for the record label Alfa Music.
